Welp, it's been 1 year and 1 day since I began The Bits. Thank you for listening to me yammer on about a teaching life that is probably strangely similar to many of yours. Here's to hoping more bizarre, story-worthy events continue happening to me at work (or else I'm not sure I can continue this job!) Cheers! Edna

Congrats!
You have only 32 more years to catch up with me.
The number one underlying point that I would recomend if I had to do it all over again is.... collaborate!
I was a "Lone Ranger" my whole career in teaching. Although highly successful, I wish I would have given and received feedback to fellow teachers to help along the way. Every administrator,(during my 33 years I have had many) state that my gift is truly unique and the most natural teacher they have ever seen. Unfortunately, my students gained from it but my peers never benefited from it. Now I am trying to cram all the years into helping others.
Collaborate. Share. Experience. Grow.
Hi Rich!
Thanks for the congrats! It's actually my 12th year as a teacher, but my 1st as a blogger. I've already heeded your advice and collaborate extensively with my grade level. It makes all the difference!
Congrats on your 32 years! That's an accomplishment!
